My journey Into Data Science And Programming

Studying a degree in computer science, I do have some introductory knowledge in programming particularly in java,c, Html, js and a little self-taught python. My eyes landing on this opportunity Pyladies Kampala was offering, I jumped at it as I had already tried to teach myself some basics of data science which I had not much succeded at.

At the moment all I know about data science is that it has lots of mathematics and that's great because I love math. I know we are going to deal with lots of data. We recently downloaded anaconda and all the other animals needed hahaha and am just trying to get some basics of how it works and learn as much as I can.

Last week, we did an introduction where we downloaded anaconda heavy as it was. We also got an introduction on using GitHub and connecting it to our project using Gitbash. We made a repo and cloned it and we are yet to learn how to commit and push our changes.

All am doing right now is trying to get all the youtube videos that can help me understand more of the use of this software and also learn more python because I know am going to need a lot of it. Also, get ready for this journey that has me all excited in this lockdown.

The thing I like most about this course is that it is taught by ladies hooray..they really try their best to make sure we are all following and yes we really are so I see this as a perfect opportunity to learn as much as I can.

For all, I know this could be the beginning of my data science career and that sits well with me knowing that it is a highly lucrative career option. So I really hope to be able to look at data and be able to create meaning out of it. Learn how all this is done with the jupyter notebook, anaconda, spyder and all the resources that data scientists use.

well, let's see how it goes.
